“Manual of Immunopathological Techniques” is collection of chapters contributed by experienced immunologists/immunopathologists, all of whom have hands on expertise of techniques they described. The idea of this manual arose from observations that those working in clinical or research field needed at some time or another, to perform an immunological technique applied to their own specific field of research. The existing manuals in market are either too detailed or require background expertise that the user may not necessarily possess. This manual is intended for use in broad clinical/research field including immunology, immunopathology, pathology, biochemistry, animal and veterinary sciences, hematology and genetics of both medical and basic sciences. This manual has emphasized on both the older techniques which are still carried on in several laboratories but not available in books and which still yields a good result and are cheap and best. It also contains advanced techniques like HLA typing, PCR, FISH, flowcytometer, etc. which will help the laboratory people to perform the test in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). In spite of much use of internet for getting one’s answer related to different methodologies, this manual will definitely find a place in the laboratories as there is no such book available in the market to our best of knowledge. Each chapter provides readers with a brief introduction about the topic/technique, its principle followed by step by step description of methodology, interpretation of the results, colored photographs and lastly the preparations of reagents with points to remember.
